1to1 Paraplanning was founded in 2015 by Jonathan Dawson who also manages the 1to1 paraplanning team. The origins of the business was to provide an advanced paraplanning service to City based wealth managers and family offices with sophisticated client needs.
Today, 1to1 Paraplanning works with growing wealth management firms and a trusted partner of the Best Practice Network. Our technically astute team can provide regular support or act as an overflow measure during the peaks and troughs.
Our qualified paraplanning team is expected to remain up to date with tax legislation, regulatory and product developments to deliver a high quality service to our firms. The financial services world never stops spinning and the way we work with advisers is constantly evolving.
Jonathan, started his career in financial services in 2006 as a broker support for Swiss Re and Gissings. Progressing from the fast pace of the City, he became an IFA at 21 and managed an eclectic client base of professionals and business owners for several wealth management firms. Following the introduction of RDR, he could see the growing support needs of advisers and used his first hand experience to form an outsourced paraplanning business.
Off the field, it’s all things outdoors; skiing, windsurfing, sailing, or putting in miles on his Italian road bike…if not cleaning it.
Eleanor, a Chartered Financial Planner and previously a Paraplanning Manager for Rathbones, brings a wealth of technical and managerial experience to her role as as a Senior Paraplanner at 1to1.
She is also responsible for overseeing the setup and on-going needs of our firms to ensure a smooth outsourcing process.
Amy started working in the Financial Services sector in 2013 as a Mortgage Consultant. She obtained her Level 4 Financial Diploma in 2015 at which point she started working as a Paraplanner for St. James’s Place. Over the last 5 years, Amy has focussed on building her technical knowledge and is currently studying to become Chartered.
In her spare time, Amy is a keen runner and also enjoys crafts such as sewing and knitting. She is also a professionally trained classical musician and occasionally organises charity concerts.
